Marcus A. Sullivan, CVA, CM&AA, MAFF
He is a Certified Valuation Analyst® by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts®, Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor® by the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisitions Advisors® and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics® by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts®. In addition, he has completed an Entrepreneurship symposium at Babson College, was selected for the 2nd annual Venture Accelerator at Guayacán Group and has taught Business Administration classes at the InterAmerican University and Sacred Heart University.
Mr. Sullivan provides financial and businesses advisory services to small business owners, entrepreneurs, shareholders, investors, board of directors and executives with a special focus on business valuation and M&A. Other work he has performed has been in litigation support, capital raising, financial due diligence, financial planning & analysis and exit planning. Mr. Sullivan has performed over 200 valuations, litigation support and transaction advisory engagements and has participated in several M&A transactions such as the integration of the Pfizer-Warner Lambert Puerto Rico operations as a result of the merger in 2001 involving over 3,000 employees and the divestiture of Onosys (part of Living Social) in 2016 to a strategic group.
Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Sullivan was the Director for a boutique M&A firm providing valuation, capital raising and transaction advisory services to clients in the technology and hospitality industry in the US and Europe. In addition, he worked as a senior consultant for Ernst & Young providing management consulting and financial advisory to Fortune 500 clients and not-for-profit organizations. Finally, he worked as Manager for Banco Santander in Spain with a focus on providing financing, risk mitigation and portfolio management to small adn medium size businesses in Spain. He is fully bilingual in Spanish and English with a basic understanding of Portuguese.
Mr. Sullivan has an MBA from the University of Colorado in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Massachusetts with a major in International Business and a Minor in Economics.
Jesus Daniel Mattei, CFA
Mr. Mattei is the Founder and Principal of Rockelis Partners, a consulting firm that specializes in financial services operations, transaction services, expert witness, and litigation support. Prior to founding his firm, he served as board member for entities that include Puerto Rico Public Building Authority, Puerto Rico Government Employee Retirement, Puerto Rico Teachers Retirement System, and Puerto Rico Judiciary Retirement System.
He was responsible of over 15 mutual funds and separate managed accounts with an aggregate of more than $3.5 billion in assets under management. He also oversaw a $150 million open-ended investment fund structure based in Luxembourg. Daniel has also been junior trader and portfolio analyst for a fund leverage program with over $4 billion in aggregate repo and commercial paper lines.
In addition, he brings over $25 billion in transactional experience, advising the Government of Puerto Rico on the largest ever municipal debt restructuring in US history. Mr. Mattei participated actively in a broad range of medular matters of the Puerto Rico restructuring, including litigation and mediation strategy, negotiations with creditors, and communications with national credit rating agencies. He led the initial setup of the financing and debt restructuring operations and led a cross-functional team of employees and consultants during the operational transition following the unwind of the Puerto Rico Government Development Bank.
Mr. Mattei has a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans and a bachelor’s degree on Business Administration in finance from the University of Puerto Rico. He is a CFA Charterholder, was approved as FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator, and previously held FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
Héctor Rivera, MBA, SA
Mr. Rivera has experience working in the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction and Resiliency (COR3), Vision to Action, Ponterra Business Advisors and Estudios Técnicos, The Guardian Life Insurance Company, Citigroup and M & T Bank. He has a double major in Finance (B.S.c) and Economics (B.A.) from Florida State University, MBA from Pace University in New York City, MBA from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, appraisal courses from the University of Puerto Rico and Certified SAFe 4 Agilist (Scaled Agile Framework).
Giovanni Pastrana, SA
Mr. Pastrana has worked for Banco Popular of Puerto Rico, Ponterra Business Advisors, Central Office of Recovery, Resiliency and Reconstruction (COR3), Bespoke Capital Markets Group and Puerto Rico Supplies Group. He has a BBA in Marketing with a Minor in Finance and is a Certified SAFe 4 Agilist (Scaled Agile Framework).
